Leaders of the CIS countries will arrive in Moscow to celebrate Victory Day

On May 9, a military parade dedicated to the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 will take place in Moscow. The presence of presidents of a number of states from near and far abroad is expected at the ceremonial events.

According to the Kremlin press service, the guests of honor will be the heads of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Cuba, Laos and Guinea-Bissau - Alexander Lukashenko, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Sadyr Japarov, Emomali Rahmon, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Shavkat Mirziyoyev , Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, Thongloun Sisoulith and Oumarou Sissoku Embalo respectively.

Together with Russian President Vladimir Putin, foreign leaders will take part in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and will also be spectators at a military parade on Red Square.
