With the assistance of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA), an underwater remote operated vehicle (ROV) was deployed early Friday near the Tennessee River Bridge. The search led to the recovery of the young individual in close proximity to the bridge.

Sheriff Davis has personally notified the family.

“This is a heartbreaking outcome,” Davis said. “Our hearts are heavy as we share this difficult news.”
