The National Council for General Liberties and Human Rights launched the ‘Mafqood’ campaign, a national media campaign on missing persons, during a press conference on 9 April in Tripoli, the UNDP reported.
The campaign aims to raise awareness about the rights of families of missing persons, advocate for truth-seeking and accountability, and reinforce trust in institutions and services in charge of supporting families.
The Mafqoud Campaign- is part of the joint UNDP and UNSMIL project on «Addressing the Issue of Missing Persons in Libya generously supported by the Netherlands, which provides technical assistance to Libyan authorities and civil society organizations to build a victims-centred response to this file and contribute to long-term stability and reconciliation.
