Hailey Van Lith wasn’t the only player with Texas ties drafted by the Chicago Sky on Monday night.
With the 22nd overall pick in the 2025 WNBA draft, the Sky selected Texas A&M guard Aicha Coulibaly. The Bamako, Mali native spent the last two years of her collegiate career at A&M, averaging 12.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 2024-25.
Coulibaly transferred to A&M after the 2022-23 campaign, originally playing at Auburn.
According to ESPN’s Charlie Creme, Coulibaly’s strengths are athleticism and her ability to finish at the rim. As she makes her way to the WNBA, she’ll need to improve her shooting range.
Coulibaly will join Van Lith in Chicago, who was taken with the 11th overall pick.
